**Coronavirus: Latest Information and Advice**

If you have travelled from China or have been in contact with someone confirmed as having Coronavirus in the last two weeks, you may be at risk of Coronavirus. Please do NOT leave the house. Instead, ring 111 if:

 

  • You have been in China in the last 14 days and develop cough, fever or shortness of breath; or

    You have been in Wuhan or Hubei Province in the last 14 days or have been in contact with someone confirmed as having Coronavirus, even if you feel well

Extended Access – Local GP practices working together to offer more convenient appointment times for patients

As from 1st October, 2018, we will be part of a network of practices (known as ‘hubs’) in Shropshire, working together to offer patients ‘Extended Access’ to pre-bookable appointments - in the evenings, at the weekend and during bank holidays.

The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Reception

There are eight part-time receptionists who are the first point of contact with the surgery (and are here to help and guide you). Three of these are qualified dispensers who also work from Dorrington Surgery.  We also have 4 part time Administrators who facilitate effective communication between patients, members of the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies.
