Dr Jutsum joined the practice in 2007. His specialist interests are dermatology, adult medicine, diabetes, minor surgery and education.

Dr Walsh joined the practice in 2015. Her specialist interests are family planning, general adult medicine and paediatrics.

Dr Brocklebank joined the practice in 2015. His specialist interests include dermatology, adult medicine and men’s health.

Dr Hannah Morgan (f)

Dr Morgan graduated from University of Sheffield Medical School in 2014. Her specialist interests include palliative care and she was awarded the European Certificate in Essential Palliative Care in 2020. Dr Morgan is the veteran lead for the Practice.

She also works in collaboration with the Primary Care Network (PCN) and is their Clinical Cancer Lead and helps with the LGBT inclusivity work.

Nurses

Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.

Healthcare Assistants

Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.

Reception

There are three full-time and three part-time receptionists who are the first point of contact within the surgery (and are here to help and guide you)

Dispensing Team

There are six part-time qualified dispensers who work from Dorrington Surgery.

Administrative Team

There are eight part-time Administrators who facilitate effective communication between patients, members of the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies.

Healthcare Team

Community Nurses

The nursing team provide nursing care for patients unable to leave their home. This includes general nursing care and they also provide care and support for patients with a terminal illness. They can be contacted 7 days a week on 01743 264090. Please leave your full name, telephone number and GP on the answerphone. Messages are retrieved at 09:00, 13:00 and 17:00.
 

Health Visitors

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social well-being.
